Meet the Dogs of Soto!

As you may know, here at Soto, we’re not just about providing top-notch web development services. We’re also about building strong, long-lasting relationships. We’ve learned that when we really know each other, we can work together on a deeper level to create results that truly WOW. As part of fostering these connections, we often use our blog to share stories about the incredible people who make up our team. But today, we want to introduce a different type of Soto superstar: our office dogs!

To us, these pups aren’t just pets; they’re an essential part of our team. When we’re feeling stuck or frustrated, a quick play session with one of the dogs is usually all we need to come back refreshed and ready to tackle a problem. When we’re brainstorming, they’re the perfect, patient listeners (even if they don’t contribute much to the actual conversation!). And when it’s time to celebrate a fantastic success, they’re just as excited as we are, wagging tails and boosting morale all around.

So, without further ado, let’s meet the dogs of Soto…

Name: Jasper

Breed: Vizsla
Best friend: Zoey

Jasper was the original, on-brand Soto dog. As a typical ‘velcro Vizsla’, Jasper was Zoey’s constant shadow, following her everywhere. When he visited the office, he’d often snuggle up to James, eagerly awaiting a “farty biscuit” – or as the rest of the world knows it, a gravy bone! He set the bar high for office dogs everywhere, with his calm demeanour and impeccable taste in snacks. He may no longer be with us, but he still takes pride of place on our 404 page.

Name: Bob

Breed: Border Collie
Best friend: Laura

If you ever feel something licking your knees during a visit to Soto, it’s probably Bob! She (yep, she) has a precise internal clock, which comes in handy when deadlines are approaching, and seems to know exactly when it’s time for a much-needed coffee break. Bob has a soft spot for cucumber, which you’ll often catch her munching on, and she’s always there for a little mid-morning morale boost.

Name: Indy

Breed: Border Collie
Best friend: Laura

Indy might just be the friendliest dog you’ll ever meet. He hasn’t fully grasped the concept of personal space, but that’s all part of his charm. First to greet you when you walk into the office, Indy’s boundless enthusiasm and wagging tail make every workday feel just a bit brighter. Indy really adores cupcakes and playing ball, but his most favourite passion of all time is… life itself!

Name: Max

Breed: Vizsla
Best friend: Zoey

Max is the nerdy, super-smart member of the canine team – with just a little touch of cheekiness. His mischievous streak fits right in with the rest of the Soto family. Max has a habit of swiping shoes when you’re not looking (and sometimes when you are!), but take him for a lunchtime walk around the beach, burrows, or sand dunes, and he’ll be out like a light for the rest of the day.

Name: Roo

Breed: Labradoodle
Best friend: James

Roo is the queen of office shenanigans. Once, she nearly took James out by pulling a U-turn on the office stairs, dragging him down in the process. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also been known to slide across the floor and faceplant into doors. When Roo’s bored, she’ll stare at James from across the office, just to mess with him. But despite the chaos, we wouldn’t have her any other way!

Honourable mention: the Kelpies

We couldn’t talk about the dogs of Soto without giving a huge shoutout to our lovely Kelpie family. Roo is a super proud mum to Coco and Ludo, two adorable pups who can usually be found chasing balls or begging for cuddles. As a tight-knit pack, they only let other dogs join in if they play by their rules, but once you’re in, you’re family! We adore the time we get to spend with mum & her babies.

The cutest creative companions

At Soto, our dogs aren’t just pets; they’re a huge part of what makes our office such a fun and creative place to work. Whether they’re helping us de-stress, cheering us on, or just making us laugh, these dogs are an essential part of the Soto family. So next time you visit us, be sure to say hello to our four-legged colleagues… they can’t wait to meet you, and welcome you into the Soto gang!
